Snow Chains

When driving in snow, using 4WD, where should I put my tire chains. ( I only have one pair ). I’ve been told that the front, steering tires is best, and I’ve been told the rear tires is best. I’m hoping that I can get a clearer answer here.

if you want to put them on they go on the back if you have them and its bad enough weather put them all around

If you only have one set, then put them on the rear wheels. If you put them on the front, you will have slightly better steering control, but you run the risk of the rear end sliding around and losing control when trying to stop.
